3 Big Questions

20140129-225919.jpg

This post is very short; probably my shortest. It consists of 3 questions and a passage of scripture from Psalm 24.

The questions:

1. Is true praise and worship limited only to people whose hands and hearts are clean, who do not worship idols and never tell lies?

2. If not, why does David write, “Such people may seek you and worship in your presence”?

3. What does the psalmist mean with his questions, “who may climb” and “who may stand”?

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths.

“Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. Such people may seek you
and worship in your presence, O God of Jacob.” (Psalm 24:1-6 NLT)

We praise and worship God, not because we are worthy, but because He is worthy. I have known many times, in my own life and in others, where praise and worship while in an unclean state led to repentance from that uncleanness.

Doesn’t mater what anyone thinks,it’s what the word of God has to say about it. You ask questions, and if the answer does not line up with the word, it’s not from God,you’ll end up with lots of opinions from man, because its what works for them.makes them feel good about themselves. Time to wake up church and stick to what God has given us in His word, don’t worry about anything or anyone else’s ideas. Trust the Holy Spirit to teach you,Jesus said the Spirit would come, lead and guide us into all truth,He inspired the writing of the word,if He dwells in you, trust He can and will reveal all things to you,as you seek to do the will of the Father.John 16:13.He would not tell you to do the will of the Father, then leave you without instructions. That would be like going to school without a teacher.
